The Joint Secretary (adm) and his subordinates are entrusted with the work of administration of the department. He is assisted by Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary and other staff for carrying out the function .The main function is general administration in terms of service matter. The manpower planning and development, implementation of the welfare measures for the employees working in the Department and coordination with other departments of the state government are other measure function of the administrative section.
